Nokia Lumia series users were somewhat unlucky as they missed out enjoying the other side of development, homebrew that is. Luckily, few lumia series users were shipped unlocked Qualcomm bootloader which opened a magic box lumia device owners. Deepshining, NextGen, DFT and plethora of other Custom ROMs for Windows Phone are already available to homebrew community users.

XDA developer forum member Vova1609 has published a new fully unlocked custom ROM for Nokia Lumia 710 users who have Qualcomm bootloader. Since this is a fully unlocked custom ROM, user can enjoy homebrew app which need more than interop unlock capability. The app also comes with some useful pre-installed applications. It won’t take too long before we see more such custom ROMs for Lumia series users in the market. It comes with ROM based on Tango OS which was leaked earlier. (more…)

Once the baron of smartphone and featured phone segment, Nokia, was nowhere to be found after loosing significant market share in 2011. Later, Samsung dethroned Nokia to become to the number one smartphone manufacturer leaving behind giant Apple in the course. However, Nokia found a new ray of hope in Microsoft after its forceful marriage with software giant. Nokia, now hopping on Microsoft’s back, blazing with all guns to make a huge comeback in smartphone segment. In adverse situation, Nokia released propitious Lumia series Windows Phone handset along with some goodies.

Nokia Lumia 610 India Price Leaked| Rs. 19,999 [Rumor]

Unlike previous rumors that predicted the price of Nokia Lumia 610 to be around Rs. 11,000, the new revelation is here to disappoint Indian users. However, we assume that the price could go further down when Nokia officially announce the pricing. The page source code of Nokia store sets the price of Lumia 610 to be Rs. 19,000.

Considering the price of its brethren Lumia 710 is mind, the price seems to be unrealistic. Nokia has already slashed the price of Nokia Lumia 710 to Rs. 15,499, so the price of Lumia 610 doesn’t seem to fit the bill.

Earlier today, fonearena managed to sneak into the Page source to reveal the price of Nokia PureView 808 in India. Surprisingly, it costs around Rs. 29,999 which seems to be fair considering the myriad of features offered by the new camera monster smartphone. We decided to follow the same tactic to see what’s in store for us Windows Phone users.

Lumia 610 was unveiled at MWC 2012. It sports measly 256MB RAM, 3.7-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen and 5MP main camera with LED flash support. The design is specifically designed to keep Asian market in mind. It will offer Windows Phone features to what could be called as an advanced featured phone.

However, we would like to stick to the previous rumor that claims that the price of this device would be around 11k in India. Nokia isn’t likely to offer Lumia 610 at Rs. 20k price since better specs device is already available at cheaper price.

AT&T Samsung Focus 2 Windows Phone Specs

Samsung unleashed its first ever LTE compatible Windows Phone, Samsung Focus 2 through AT&T carrier. Naturally, as a successor of widely acclaimed Focus S, it gets a small specs bump. This is AT&T’s third Windows Phone offering. Of course, Samsung has nothing overwhelming to offer to WP community, at least with this handset. As always has been the case with earlier Windows Phone, Focus 2 comes with slightly outdated hardware and is nothing compared to Samsung earlier venture behemoth Galaxy S3. It will have to compete with HTC Titan II and Nokia Lumia 900 which is already available on AT&T at the same price on contract. (more…)

Finally, Seles Games have released ‘AppVegas’ app in marketplace.It is a ingenious team behind one of the most popular Windows Phone apps like weave and Windows Phone News. Luckily, we have had a chance to try out beta version before it appeared on marketplace. The apps fits well with some of the already know apps in this category like WP7Applist and AppFlow, however, it goes one step beyond and makes discovering app much more fun.

All you have to do is spin the slot machine or shake your device which will automatically discover new marketplace apps/ games for you.
