As an avid Windows Phone users, we ardently like Zune player (with all the limitations kept in mind). Though, Zune seems to receive antipodes of review from the user community, they have no other choice but to use Zune. While Zune makes it easy to manage Windows Phone, it certainly is the decent music player.

Zemote, a short form of Zune Remote Control, app allows you to control music playback of Zune on your PC. You can perform basic operations like controlling the music playback, search for songs, navigate through playlist and album and so on. How to Connect Zemote PC and WP App

Basically, you’ll have to connect Zemote mobile app to PC app through WiFi connection (client-server connection). On the successful connection you’ll see a list of options on your Windows Phone which will let you control the music of Zune on your PC.

Step 1: Download Zemote PC software from here.

Step 2: Connect Zemote PC and Windows Phone app to same WiFi network.

Step 3: Launch Zemote PC software and click any song to play. Upon playing song a new windows will pop up asking to connect Windows Phone counterpart.

Step 4: Launch Zemote app on your Windows Phone. Enter the IP address of your PC and tap ‘Connect’. That’s it!!! It’s that simple.

Now you will see the full playlist on your Windows Phone application. From here you can control your playlist, play/ pause/ resume song. Free version does not have playlist and genre and Zemote DJ support.

    I just bought, download and install the lastest version of Zemote from official website and at lauch Zemote PC say “A new version of Zemote is available … Click ok to start the installation”. I click ok and the this message appear “Update failed, please try again later (I)”. So I can’t lauch Zemote without disconnecting internet access (So Zemote can’t detect the “new version”).
    I have the 64 bit version of Zemote for my 64 bit version of windows 7.
    Disabling the firewall does not change anything.
    In “ZemotePC.exe.config” file I can see Version=”2.0.0.0″ and supportedRuntime version=”v2.0.50727″
    Any help will be appreciated
