For those who are still in doubt, Windows Phone 8 is a real deal. Microsoft had opened up a job position seeking for Windows Phone 8 Software Development Engineer (in Test) couple of days ago. Now this position for WP8 Software Development Engineer in Test has already been filled up. This could be considered as a hint that the development of WP8 has already begun.

According to job posting page,

The Windows Phone team is taking on a huge challenge stirring up the out of box experience for Windows Phone 8 and is committed to building/improving a compelling and dynamic high quality look and feel to our end user experience.

According to some leaked documents, Windows Phone 8 has been codenamed as “Apollo”. It will be a unification of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 in some or other way(?). The opening position ad was spotted couple of days before by WMPU.

In Microsoft’s own term, we are now anxiously waiting for “strategic and exciting product for out of box experience”
